He then attended the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he completed his undergraduate degree in history and played water polo for the Gauchos. After college, he returned to Orange County to obtain a teaching credential and coach water polo. From 2006 to 2014 Chris was a coach for SET Water Polo Club under olympian Brad Schumacher, where he worked with all age groups as a head and assistant coach. Chris moved to the Bay Area two years ago, and he is currently a math teacher in the Tamalpais Union High School District and coaches the Drake Boys JV Water Polo Team.
